ARCANE TRAINING PORTFOLIO
Three Pathways. One Standard.
ARCANE’s training architecture is built around a single principle: competency must be demonstrated before it is advanced. Whether you are pursuing individual development, developing your personnel, or those who train others — the standard does not change.
Develop yourself.
Open access. Progressive levels across pistol, rifle, combined firearms, CQB, medical, and mission planning. Each level earned — not assumed.
Develop your personnel.
A customizable 1–5 week integrated training cycle for organizations sending personnel to ARCANE. Curriculum adapted to your requirements. Standard does not change.
Develop those who develop others.
Advanced practical capability combined with instructional methodology. For organizations building internal training capacity.
* Instructor Development is also available for individuals
How ARCANE's System Works
Every pathway within ARCANE’s portfolio follows the same developmental logic. Competency is demonstrated before it is advanced.
Assessment
Every participant or organization begins with an assessment. Starting point is determined by demonstrated capability, not assumed experience.
Foundation
Technical fundamentals are established and verified. No advancement until the foundation is solid.
Applied Skills
Skills are applied under increasing complexity and time pressure. Competency is tested, not assumed.
Integration
Individual and team capabilities are integrated. Performance under realistic conditions.
Validation
Final assessment. Certification where applicable. Standards are non-negotiable.
The curriculum adapts to the client. The standard does not.
01 — Individual Development
This pathway is open to individuals seeking to build verified, progressive capability across ARCANE’s core disciplines. Each level must be earned in sequence — advancement is granted only upon demonstrated competency, not assumed from prior training or background. There are no shortcuts through the progression.
Level 1
Foundation
Level 2
Applied Skills
Level 3
Advanced Application
Participants with prior professional experience may apply to skip a level. All such requests are subject to written review and approval by ARCANE. Approval is not guaranteed.
Pistol Levels — Detailed Breakdown
Level 1 — Foundation
Build the baseline. Weapon and ammunition fundamentals, equipment setup, grip, stance, sighting principles, optic, trigger management, loading and safe handling procedures, malfunctions. Participants are introduced to the correct use of common equipment and accessories.
Core elements: Weapon familiarization • ammunition fundamentals • grip and position • sighting and zero verification • fundamental shooting application • accuracy and consistency • safe handling
Prerequisite: None. Progression: Required for Pistol Level 2.
Level 2 — Applied Skills
Develop the foundation under increased demand. Moves beyond isolated fundamentals into application across changing conditions — target transitions, controlled time standards, movement, control pair shots, shooting on the move and positional changes. The emphasis shifts from performing individual techniques to connecting them efficiently.
Core elements: Target transitions • timed exercises • shooting on the move • positional adaptation • increased performance standards
Prerequisite: Pistol Level 1. Progression: Required for Pistol Level 3. Contributes toward Combined Firearms eligibility.
Level 3 — Advanced Application
Perform when complexity increases. Previously developed skills are tested under greater physical, cognitive, and time pressure. Participants work through complex movement, multiple targets, multiple shots, shooting in rhythm, reduced-light conditions, and decision-making exercises. The objective is integration — maintaining sound fundamentals when several demands occur simultaneously.
Core elements: Advanced movement • complex target transitions • reduced time standards • unconventional positions • low-light familiarization • decision-making
Prerequisite: Pistol Level 2.
Rifle Development
Rifle Development follows the same progressive philosophy as Pistol. That consistency is deliberate — it makes ARCANE’s system feel like an architecture rather than a collection of courses. Control the platform first. Apply it under demand second. Integrate it under pressure third.
Level 1 — Foundation
Establish control of the platform. Rifle and ammunition fundamentals, equipment configuration, stance, loading and unloading, sight alignment, zeroing, optics, shooting positions, malfunctions and fundamental weapon handling.
Prerequisite: None. Required for Rifle Level 2.
Level 2 — Applied Skills
Move from individual skills to application. Increased speed, movement, target transitions, positional changes, control pair shots, and distance application under controlled performance standards.
Prerequisite: Rifle Level 1. Contributes toward Combined Firearms eligibility.
Level 3 — Advanced Application
Integrate capability under pressure. Complex target sequences, changing distances, multiple shots, multiple targets, unconventional positions, low-light familiarization, decision-making, and performance under physical and cognitive load.
Prerequisite: Rifle Level 2.
Combined Firearms
This is not simply another shooting course. Combined Firearms is the point where previously demonstrated pistol and rifle capabilities begin to be integrated into a single, coordinated skill set. Access requires independently verified competency in both platforms through ARCANE’s own progression.
Entry Requirement
Minimum Pistol Level 2 + Rifle Level 2
Both must be successfully completed through ARCANE before access to Combined Firearms training is granted. No exceptions.
The program begins by connecting the platforms — introducing integrated pistol and rifle training while reinforcing established standards across platform transitions, weapon handling under changing conditions, movement, and timed exercises. From there, complexity increases progressively through dynamic movement, multiple targets, multiple shots, changing distances, increased time standards, positional adaptation. The program culminates in complex performance-based exercises where technical consistency, decision-making, multiple shots, movement, and platform management must work together simultaneously under scenario-based assessment conditions.
CQB Development
Close Quarters Battle training at ARCANE develops individual and team capability through a structured three-level pathway. Each level is outlined here at a high level; the complete methodology is shared with participants.
Level 1 — Fundamentals
Introduces the principles, communication, individual responsibilities, movement concepts, and safety framework required for structured CQB training.
Focus: Individual fundamentals • communication • movement principles • spatial awareness • team fundamentals • structured practical exercises
Prerequisite: Combined Firearms
* B2B: see Operator Development
Level 2 — Team Application
Develops the fundamentals through team-based application and increasingly complex environments. Participants are expected to coordinate under pressure and solve dynamic problems.
Focus: Team coordination • communication • problem-solving • changing environments • decision-making • progressive scenario work
Prerequisite: CQB Level 1.
Level 3 — Advanced Application
Integrates previously developed CQB capabilities into complex scenarios requiring coordination, communication, adaptability, and decision-making under increased pressure and cognitive load.
Focus: Advanced team application • complex environments • Reduced Visibility & increased cognitive workload • scenario-based exercises • performance assessment
Prerequisite: CQB Level 2.
Mission Planning
5-Day Program — From Task to Executable Plan
A focused five-day program built around both planning realities operators face: when time is available, and when it isn’t. Participants develop the capability to produce a coordinated, executable course of action under either condition.
Deliberate Planning | When Time Is Available
The structured, full planning process: information assessment, responsibilities, resources, contingencies, communication, coordination, and briefing. Participants work through each stage methodically and conclude by developing and presenting a complete plan against a defined scenario.
Hasty Planning | When Time Is Not Available
What to do when a new mission arrives with little or no preparation time. Covers rapid information gathering, priority sequencing, abbreviated orders, immediate task allocation, and maintaining mission effectiveness when the full planning cycle isn’t possible. Teaches participants to make sound decisions fast, communicate clearly under pressure, and adapt on the move.
Both tracks are taught within the same program. Participants leave knowing how to plan properly when they have time — and how to operate effectively when they don’t.
One strong five-day course carries more credibility than artificially tiered levels. Mission Planning is not broken into levels unless a genuinely distinct advanced program is developed.
Tactical Medical Development
Three progressive programs built on the TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) framework. Each level is a TCCC-based program, and upon completion participants receive a NAEMT (National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians) certificate — a globally recognized, internationally accredited credential in tactical medical care.
Level 1 — Immediate Response | 3 Days
Foundation TCCC training. Immediate casualty response, structured assessment, life-threatening emergencies, hemorrhage control, casualty management, and practical application. Prerequisite: None. NAEMT certificate awarded upon completion.
Level 2 — Extended Response | 7 Days
Intermediate TCCC application. Broader casualty assessment and management, extended practical training, scenario work, documentation, and casualty movement. Prerequisite: Medical Level 1. NAEMT certificate awarded upon completion.
Level 3 — Advanced Application | 10 Days
Advanced TCCC integration. Advanced practical development integrating assessment, decision-making, teamwork, prolonged scenarios, and performance under demanding conditions. Prerequisite: Medical Level 2. NAEMT certificate awarded upon completion.
All three levels are delivered to TCCC standards and certified through NAEMT — a globally recognized qualification in tactical medical care.
Awareness Before Confrontation
A practical, non-firearms program designed for professionals who may encounter aggressive, unpredictable, or escalating situations as part of their work. This is not a self-defense course — it is a structured approach to recognizing developing situations early and responding appropriately before they escalate.
Training covers situational and environmental awareness, recognizing escalation indicators, establishing boundaries, communication and de-escalation, personal positioning, basic self-protection, stress response management, and using available surroundings to improve personal safety. Where appropriate for the client group and jurisdiction, defensive equipment awareness can be incorporated.
Educational Institutions
Preparing personnel to recognize, avoid, de-escalate, and respond appropriately to potentially aggressive situations.
Healthcare & Social Care
Clinicians, social workers, and care staff who routinely interact with individuals in crisis or distress.
Corporate & NGO Personnel
Staff operating in public-facing roles, field environments, or challenging geographic contexts.
Hospitality & Security-Adjacent
Personnel who manage public interactions and need structured awareness and de-escalation frameworks.
Instructor Development
Individual Program
Develop the ability to develop others. Instructor Development is designed for individual professionals seeking to develop or refine their ability to train others. The course combines practical capability with instructional methodology — focusing on how to structure training, communicate knowledge, demonstrate skills, identify performance deficiencies, provide corrective feedback, and assess student development.
Teaching Methodology
Structuring training content for clear, progressive delivery.
Lesson Planning
Developing structured sessions with defined objectives and outcomes.
Communication
Conveying technical information clearly under training conditions.
